From selfishness to kindness
About the speaker
Officially, Animari is the chairman of the Rusalya and TF BISBARD associations. She graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in 1983. Until 1990 she works as an actress and a director in various Bulgarian theaters. In 1994 she established the theater group BIS BARD. It was her idea that BIS BARD launched its own civilian program for children deprived of parental care. Since then working with children becomes a top priority for her and her colleagues. She gained a lot of experience and knowledge over the years. Then, the idea of the Arts and Crafts School for Socially Disadvantaged Children was established owing to her.
Unofficially, Animari is fire. The energy she has and spreads around her burns. Burns with the desire to help, to get involved, to be emphatic in a cause that is worth it and that she is devoting all her time and emotion to: helping kids who really need help. Kids, who will otherwise be outcasts - to integrate, to give them a chance to contribute and to live their potential. And she is doing this for real - the school in Russalya is up and running and is now opening its doors for a second school-year, putting smiles on the faces of the kids that need to feel a sense of belonging and worthiness. And for that she is worth being heard.
