Originally from the Riverside area in Cardiff, she now lives in the neighbouring community of Grangetown, which borders Butetown and Cardiff Bay. Ani was raised in both Cornish and Welsh and, since 2013, has been a member of Gorsedh Kernow which is a cultural organisation that celebrates and promotes the Celtic spirit of Cornwall. Originally a graduate from John Moores University, Liverpool in Fashion and Textile Design, Ani returned to higher education in 2017 to complete a Master’s degree in the Department of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University. This year she has embarked on a PhD which, as part of a wider European project, is focused on understanding economic and regional development in Wales. As well as this, Ani is currently putting the final touches on her debut album Mirores which she wrote and produced at her home in Cardiff. Mirores will be released very soon!
