POLO is a sculptor, born in 1968 in Nantes, France. After studying Art at the Accademie of Nantes, he joined the legendary French stone masons guild, the “Compagnons du Tour de France”.
It is from working on prestigious projects such as the Musée du Louvres, the American Center in Paris and Notre Dame du Haut of Le Corbusier, that he begins to investigate the duality of the natural relationship between sculpture and architecture.
During his “Art vagabondage” around the world, exploring workshops and historical sites, Polo eventually reaches Pietrasanta, where he will hone his skills in sculpture, collaborating with Tuscan artisans and international contemporary artists.
At the age of thirty he establishes his first studio to engage definitively his dialogue between sculpture and architecture, designing and sculpting large scale, site-specific commissions.
Based in Hong Kong from 2003, Polo conceives and creates today monumental and iconic sculptures in stone and metal for some of the most influential corporate clients and private collectors in this part of the world. This clients include Swire Properties, Henderson land, Sun Hung Kai, Wing Tai, Sino Land, and collaborations with architects such as Arquitectonica, Benoy, Andre Fu and Oval Partnership.
