Good morning/good evening/good afternoon lovely people of the world,

My name is Tessa. I am seeking to expand my photography client base after shooting portraiture and photojournalism after many years. I've also had a rewarding career in education, accessibility consulting, and documentary film. Below is my linkedin, attached resume, and some work samples for you to check out.

Short summary:

Veteran photographer with 20 years experience
Humility
Clear communicator
Ability to work quickly and independently
Natural light wizard

Longer version:

I live in Sauganash but can travel anywhere in Chicago and some suburbs. Do you have a need for my services?

I use a Sony A7SII, which is part of the world's first series of cameras that can shoot in complete darkness without a high ISO or flash. Others can use any camera, but this camera is so important the BBC and VOX have listed it as the best camera period for cinema and still images. Still, having a great camera means nothing without expertise. I am confident that my experience is solid. I should add that even in 2023, there are not enough women of color photographers hired in commercial photography. Please consider going against the grain and push back against a mostly male and white industry, and build community with me.

I have a great love of Frank Lloyd Wright, nature in architecture design, art deco, and Gaudi. Might you have a need for my services? Let's set up a time to talk if you do. I look forward to hearing from you.

You can still meet people where they are at while staying true to yourself. This is true for teaching and for building community in other spaces.

Anyone who is self actualized enough to be able to collaborate, team build, and be of community support. It is impossible to pour from an empty cup and that's ok.

I can make an open soda can stand on a tilt without it falling over.

My career will change over time with my changing interests. Immersive sound.

Coffee first, brain later.

How to ground yourself by looking up at a tree. Seems bizarre, but research shows even a few minutes tilting your eyes skyward does wonders for your creativity and mental health. Even better if you can lay in the grass. It turns out the things some of us as kids is now backed by science.

Anything with dancing.
