Stephanie LaMont is a freelance photographer and video producer currently based in Portland, Maine. Her exploration of liminal space makes her work singular: finding the moments that sit distinctly at the apex of public + personal, formality + play. Stephanie’s background in photography and human rights (dual b.a. degrees Bard College), has offered her the formal training to carefully approach subjects from a photo-ethnographic lens. Her composition considers social, political, and cultural factors in order to create honest and intimate storytelling — without propagation.
