My passion for storytelling has taken me around the world: I worked as a freelance writer and teacher in Mexico City for a year, then got my master's in digital journalism at Columbia University. I've had reporting stints at The Miami Herald, Napa Valley Register, and Mother Jones. I'm also the former managing editor of Communication Arts magazine, a commercial art publication that's been in Northern California since 1959.
I love to find surprising stories and shape a narrative until it's chiseled to perfection. I write and tweet about design, arts, business, food, feminism, and crafting. Whenever I'm not furiously typing, I sew.
Drop me a line if you'd like to collaborate! I'm currently accepting new clients.
Jump, and the parachute will open.
I'm sewing my own wardrobe!
