Without a doubt, my grandmother. She was quiet but incredibly wise and held the family together like glue. She made each one of us grandchildren feel special. Her patience was deep like no one else I've known and she lovingly helped my grandfather for several decades of debilitating Alzheimer's.
I can see order in chaos.
This is my backup career...and I love it. I've driven my ships on shore, burned them and there's nowhere to go but forward.
I remember without effort my first memory when I was only a few months old. Also, it's easy to remember my three world records, the time I was nearly killed by the Taliban, the first time I saw roller derby and the last time I ate tacos.
