Christine Bethea is a 20 year+ artist and arts administrator, who has worked with national and international organizations, nonprofits and local government to advance the visibility of Pittsburgh and its arts community. She is the winner of awards for business and arts collaborations which include a DATA recognition from the Pittsburgh Technology Council for founding the city's first eco, tech and arts festival-- Geek Art/Green innovators--which annually highlights current and emerging people and projects in those fields As an artist, Bethea is rostered as a teaching artist at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. She is also a Western Pennsylvania heritage quilter, whose work has been archived with the Senator John Heinz History Center. Bethea is also the owner/curator of ARTica, a popular gallery in the east end.
