Creative Director Matthew Packwood is a specialist in concept development, design and advanced animation. Matthew has sixteen years experience working in the National and International design and animation industry.

Working at an elite level in Australia at The Attik in Sydney and ICON Digital Post, AAV Digital Pictures and Fox Footy Channel in Melbourne, Matthew gained extensive experience in print and interactive design, broadcast animation and editing. As lead designer at ICON, Matthew created the broadcast brands of several national television programs, including “Stingers” and “Live at the Chapel”.

Matthew worked Internationally as a compositor at VRX Studios and as a lecturer in design and animation at the Vancouver Art Institute, Canada. During this time, he also co-wrote and produced an award-winning short film, “Mourning Air”.

In 2006 Matthew founded Popcorn Creative, where he offered his services as a Creative Director / and Animator to brands and agencies in the sports, travel, lifestyle and youth music markets. Matthew produced Marketing materials, Logos, broadcast brands, opening/closing sequences and in program graphic solutions. Matthew has had the pleasure of producing and designing for brands including World Cup, Paralympics, Hoyts, Coke, Castrol and Snickers, both locally and abroad. His work has been aired in over 40 countries.

In January 2013, Matthew was offered a senior creative position at the newly formed sports production company Inverleigh. Matthew then recruited a strong team and constructed an advanced graphics production pipeline which could create graphics for 7 to 10 shows per week.

Matthew’s key role was to create new broadcast brands. Within the first two years Matthew created 20 high-quality sports brands and complete program graphics packages. He was also a key contributor to helping grow the business from a small team to a company with over 60 staff.

Recently Matthew left Inverleigh to pursue independent projects and to further his career as a teacher and lecturer.

This year matthew is teaching at Monash to both Masters and Undergrad students.

Design-driven Matthew is adamant on making a name for himself in design/animation excellence.
