Courage isn't just feeling confident, courage is the ability to take action through your fears.
The more that we play with the tools we use whether they're digital, whether they're physical, whether they're frameworks, the more creativity we will have
The future favors the flexible.
There is no assembly line. Something's going to go wrong. Something is going to go horribly wrong and more than likely something's going to deliciously wrong.
That's the beauty of craft, if you're doing it by yourself, if you're doing it with your hands you're never going to do it the same way twice.
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together, and we'd like to suggest one more layer to this: if you want to go deep grow together.
Compassion for somebody else is really another form of compassion for yourself.
How else could I go on living?
You become the one who is leading the teams in ways that everyone feels included, everyone has a voice. Because it's when all the people have a voice, you'll uncover ideas and thoughts and concepts that you have never dreamed could come true.
I think diversity of mindset, diversity of personality types is what also brings together these great teams. If we're all thinking alike, you'll never get to the great work.
When all the people have a voice, you uncover ideas and thoughts and concepts that you have never dreamed could come true.
You have to own culture. You become the light. You become the one who really is leading the teams in ways that everyone feels included. Everyone has a voice.
Sometimes for each of us, sometimes it just takes a spark. That little, bitty spark of kindness that will be able to make a difference in someone's life and affect how they change their life.
For all of us, we're all surviving here. You know, some of us are surviving passively, some of us are surviving instinctively but we have the opportunity always to kind of shift that survival into creativity
Diversity doesn't just apply to women, it just does not apply to people of color, it also applies to people who have disabilities or abilities or are older.
Diversity is a tough word, I think we all have a general sense of what that word means, but in terms of how I approach it on a day to day basis is that's an end goal. That's what I want to get to. Inclusion is the way that I get there.
When you gather enough data together, you put it in formation. In formation. Information. So data becomes information and information gives you the ability to start creating knowledge from what has been put together. From that knowledge, you then gain intelligence that gives you the ability to act on that knowledge. From that intelligence you get wisdom which gives you the ability to decide if you want to act on that knowledge or not. and so, if you understand the trajectory and path, you understand your path and how it relates to creativity and genius.
