Michael C. Davis is the CEO and Founder of Merek.io, a mindfulness-based technology firm at the forefront of exploring human-centric interactions and their impact on relationships and society. With over two decades of experience in technology and human behavior, including service in the United States Navy and work with major tech companies such as Boeing, IBM, Los Alamos National Laboratory, etc., Michael brings a unique perspective to the evolving landscape of human-machine connections.

As a Ph.D. candidate studying the implications of cyberpsychology on human-to-machine relationships, Michael is deeply engaged in understanding how AI companions are reshaping our vision of intimacy and connection. His research at the newly formed Cybersecurity and Cyberpsychology Research Center (CCCR) in Santa Fe, NM, where he serves as Executive Director, focuses on AI's psychological and social impacts on our daily lives.

Michael's expertise in this field has been recognized through his memberships in the American Psychological Association and the New Mexico Technology Council, where he contributes to discussions on the ethical and practical considerations of AI companionship. His upcoming book, "Ctrl+Alt+Happiness," explores the intersection of technology, psychology, and human well-being in the age of AI.

As a speaker and thought leader, Michael has presented the transformative power of cyberpsychology in human relationships at various forums, including TEDxABQ and Creative Startups in Santa Fe, during his PechaKucha talk about the same topic: AI Love Companions. His writings have appeared in Newsweek and Forbes, where he offers insights into how our vision of technology, cybersecurity, and digital self-awareness is evolving in response to technology's influence and grip.

Through his work at Merek.io and ongoing research, Michael challenges our perceptions of what constitutes meaningful connection in the digital age. His unique blend of technical expertise and psychological insight positions him as a leading voice in the conversation about romance, loneliness, and the redefinition of human relationships in the AI era.
