Maria Veie Sandvik is an art historian, writer and curator. She founded Galleri Maria Veie at the farm Veie Østre in 2008 as a test-ground of language- and audience participation for commercial galleries. From 2009 - 2013 the project was connected to a permanent location in Oslo, developing solo shows by young artists. Her current research project, the group exhibition "I hear you", is opening January 20th 2018 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Kunstmuseet i Nord-Trøndelag. Supported by Arts Council Norway she is also researching Norwegian Public Art at UNs headquarter in NYC, and co-editing "Criticism for an absent reader" together with Anette Therese Pettersen and the publisher Uten Tittel.
