Trey Jameson is a native of South Carolina. He was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina. He graduated from the College of Charleston, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business with a Russian minor, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a Corporate Communications focus. He worked for a local law firm in Summerville, South Carolina for three years after graduation before embarking on his own path to a legal career. Wanting to stay close to his community, Trey obtained his law degree from Charleston School of Law.
After his first year at Charleston School of Law, Trey was a clerk for the Supreme Court of Uganda. During his time there, he was exposed to several intellectual property infringements, including pirated videos. It was this experience that led him to his quest for more knowledge about intellectual property rights and enforcement.
His passion for developing businesses was rooted in his work with start-ups in New York City. Tiring of the daily grind of the city and missing home, Trey decided to return home to open his own law practice, Jameson Law. His practice focuses on small businesses, their intellectual property and growth, as well as helping his community. After three years of operation, Trey has helped nearly two hundred local businesses get started and continues to consult many on an on-going basis. He was recently named to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty. Additionally, Trey is a co-founder of a tech start-up geared towards automating business practices called Be Software. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Charleston School of Law and was named Adjunct Professor of the Year by the SBA for the 2016-2017 school year.
