I am an awards-winning arts and culture journalist and producer passionate about storytelling and expression that explores creatives using their platform to shift, shape, and analyze society through an artistic lens.
My experience includes working as a producer and writer for CultureShift on WDET 101.9FM; and serving as Senior Editor of Entertainment and Culture for EBONY Magazine and its digital properties, including JETMag.com—where I also conceptualized and co-produced the artist-performance series, JETSuite. My work has also been featured in NYMISOJO.com (a Solutions Journalism Network platform); Kresge Arts Detroit as a story producer and co-director with misFitted production company for three Kresge Artist Fellow short films; Essay’d Detroit, Detroit Art Review, blkcreatives.com, Sesi Magazine, and South Side Weekly. I am a producer on the award-winning podcast series Intersections: Detroit.

No backup– I am blessed and grateful to have a lengthy career in the arts as a writer/storyteller, producer. This was the dream and I love it. But, I am expanding my career with the goal to also work in documentary filmmaking!
