I am an energetic food entrepreneur and business consultant. I survived adolescence in my family's restaurant, graduated with degrees in Culinary Arts and Hotel/Restaurant Management, and spent much of my career in food retail. I'm now at home in the beautiful coastal low country near Charleston, SC, pursuing my Master's in Entrepreneurship and using that culinary experience and knowledge in new creative ways. The importance of and joy found in feeding people stirs my soul. My passion is creating, protecting, teaching about and sharing incredible food and the stories behind it-food that matters and has a positive impact on the community near us and the world around us. I'm inspired by the people finding innovative ways to create and grow food that honors history, heritage and place. My personal mission: To feed people with creativity and joy-whether they are hungry for nourishment or thirsting for knowledge. And to inspire others to protect and share good food along with me.

Food! Also the many aspects of the business of making and selling food. I'm particularly passionate about cheese.

I'm working hard on my writing skills, creative and technical.

A career is not a ladder, it is a jungle gym. I think it applies to life.

Most? That's hard. Julia Child is up there on the list so we'll go with her. Her passion for good food and sharing it was infectious. I believe in the importance of joy and whimsy that she had. And that lady worked hard and didn't take herself too seriously.

Curiosity. Granted, it takes courage to follow it, but curiosity fuels inspiration and leads to the best adventures.

I don't really believe in this idea. Just do what you love. And when you stop loving it, do something new.

People's food preferences, their likes and dislikes. I might forget your name, but I won't ever forget that you told me once you don't like olives.

How to make a perfect cheese plate.
