I currently work in the radio industry. I worked at a Gospel radio station 1180 WFGN-AM in Gaffney, SC from 2009-2017 and now I'm with 88.7 WNCW-FM at Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC. I'm the news producer for "NPR's Morning Edition" with Paul Foster and station office assistant helping organize a list of amount of airplay of songs, artist, albums as well as being responsible for uploading our various weekly radio shows on our stations web streaming site. I am still pushing to pursue my dream creating comics and writing dramas for television in hopes of following the lead of one of my great inspirations, TV writing and producer great herself Shonda Rhimes. I have always had a passion creating stories and interesting characters for as long as I can remember. Growing everyone thought I was a little weird for using stories and characters from my favorite TV shows to create my own TV shows in my head. For example, I would create my own version of shows like "Moesha" or "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" all in my head, in other words I had a very "creative" imagination (LOL) as a kid, (still do!!!). I am a music lover, I'll listen to all types of music from Classic Soul to even country (LOL)!!! I am also a 2008 graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (also known as NC A&T or just simply A&T, I'm a PROUD AGGIE!!!!). Now I'm at a place in my life that I am super excited to explore all the possibilities that come my way. I'm eager and ready for those new challenges and most of all, I am proud to be a part of Charlotte's Creative Mornings!!!! #charlotteiscreative
History of TV and varies TV show's, mostly how they got started and the story behind writers creative viewpoint vs the way the audience see it. (I'm TV show savant I guess LOL!!!!)
Getting out of myself when I am in a networking function. I'm fine talking it out online but when I'm in a networking setting I just stand there and people watch. I just need help opening up to people and showing them who I am without being afraid of someone not finding me weird or uninteresting.
From my sweet grandmother, Minnie!!! She said "Always pride on getting an education because that's something nobody can take away!!!"
Someone who is not afraid of there convictions, who goes after what they want to achieve and succeeds at it and at the same time pushes and encourages people to do the same thing along the way.
I honestly have no idea. I know one thing, I DO NOT want to become a teacher. My parents are teachers and no disrespect to them and all the great teachers out there, I just don't have the patience to deal with so many other people's children 5 days a week for 10 months!!! LOL
Seeing the Lion King for the first in theaters as a kid!!!
Bacon and cheese omelet!!!
