Crystal is the graphic designer for the YMCA of Western North Carolina, where they work to promote the Y’s mission to strengthen community through programming that supports youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. In addition to working for the Y, they also find joy in freelance design consisting of branding, logo design, and illustration. Crystal mixes a classical art background with real-world experience to create designs that evoke playful humanness. Through collaboration with a variety of clients, they explore function, encourage interaction, and differentiate narratives through the visualization of their design work. In their free time, Crystal enjoys nature, crafting fermented foods, and multiple forms of exercise.
