Hi! I am a former gifted coordinator with over 22 years of experience in gifted education, the majority of time spent working in early childhood gifted education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Arts in School Counseling, and an endorsement in Gifted Education from Cleveland State University.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher and Martha Holden Jennings Scholar, and currently serve as 2nd Vice President of the Ohio Association for Gifted Children (OAGC) and Vice President of Greater Cleveland Coordinators of Gifted (GCCG).

I have presented at numerous state and national education conferences on topics such as identifying gifted children in the early years, using technology with gifted students, developing rigorous problem solving curriculum for young gifted learners, and starting parent support and advocacy groups in the school community. I have a deep passion for eliciting creative thinking through hands-on problem solving activities and have developed extensive activities to nurture this in our children.

Recently leaving the public school system after 30 years, I am involved in several non-profit organizations, passionately advocating for students and teachers in the public schools. In my free time, I am having fun working on writing my first children’s book and spending time with my husband and college-aged children.
