TGIF, and we have a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!! 🎉 We are beyond excited to announce @cm_sacramento’s new Presenting Partner @vspvisioncare. VSP has always been a major advocate of ours–starting with our first partner @eyeconic, and they employ one of our area’s strongest in-house creative teams. Since most of us use our eyes like our jobs depend on it, we are so grateful that they are joining us as advocates of vision health. We can’t wait for you all to see what they have in store! 🤘🏽👀👓😎⠀
About VSP:In 1955, a small group of optometrists had a vision to provide affordable, accessible, high-quality eye care to the world. They formed the first prepaid, not-for-profit vision benefit company, California Vision Services, the precursor to Vision Service Plan (VSP). That vision has evolved into VSP Global, with five complementary businesses combining eye care insurance, high-quality eyewear, lens and lens enhancements, ophthalmic technology, and connected experiences to strengthen the relationships between patients and their eye doctors. — view on Instagram http://ift.tt/2wGZMHb

This month we will be focusing on the timely theme COMPASSION with Jeff Keller. Jeff’s journey as Buddhist practitioner began in 1994 when he received Tokudo (ordination) with the Shingon sect at the Northern California Koyasan Temple in Sacramento. In 2010, he began formal training for the priesthood with Rev. Reyn Yorio Tsuru and Shingon Shu Hawaii, a 100 year old temple in Honolulu and is now an Associate Minister representing Northern California satellite group under the name Shingon Shu Western Fellowship.
In addition his responsibilities as an Associate Minister, Jeff has managed a diverse roster of musicians from heavy metal/hard rock, to folk, to pop for the past 18 years. Keller is also an accomplished musician having played the bass guitar since the age of 12.
Jeff will be helping us find ways to practice patience, compassion and empathy in our everyday lives, even when we don’t feel like it and especially during challenging times. .
