We’ve all been there.
You have a project sitting in a folder on your desktop. Or maybe it’s just a scribble in a notebook, or a "what if" that keeps you up at night. You want to build it. You want to launch it. But then… life happens.
There are three things that often get in my way:
Creative Block/Creative Overwhelm:
You’re either staring at a blank screen waiting for a lightning bolt of inspiration that never strikes... OR you have so many ideas you can't decide which one to move on. "Should I write the book? Start the podcast? Build the—oh look, a squirrel!"
Voices of Doubt:
That annoying internal monologue that asks, "Is this even good? Does anyone care? Am I even the right person to do this?"
Time: The ultimate thief. We tell ourselves we’ll start when things "calm down" (spoiler alert: they never do).
Guess what: The era of excuses is over.
It is time to knock it out. It is time to get it done. No more "someday." We are moving into "right now" territory.
(Hey, Home Depot—since we’re in the business of helping "doers get more done," how about a partnership? We’ve got the blueprints and ideas!)
This May, Adobe, CreativeMornings, and CreativeQuests are teaming up to provide a month-long masterclass in momentum. From practical tips and daily motivation to accountability, we're all going to focus on finishing a project and releasing it to the world on May 29th.
CreativeMornings chapters all across the globe are participating in this challenge, and we want to represent the 404 with pride. Atlanta has the hustle, the heart, and the vision. Now, we just need to prove it by having the highest participation in the world.
Designers, writers, builders, filmmakers, podcasters, makers, poets, and dreamers: START. YOUR. ENGINES! You're on notice and you're all officially on the clock.
Go to CreativeMornings.com/releaseday and pledge your project.
Let’s show our global community why Atlanta Influences Everything.
