Meet Our SPICY illustrator: Sophie McTear
Each month, CreativeMornings has a different theme for the talks given at our local chapter events around the world. It is our tradition to work with an artist in our community to create an illustration for each monthly theme.
Our theme for April is SPICY. It was chosen by our Tucson chapter and illustrated by Sophie McTear.
Sophie is an illustrator, tattoo apprentice, and graphic designer based in Tucson, Arizona who specializes in branding, merchandising, and more for nonprofits and companies.
As a non-binary and disabled artist, Sophie (they/he) is committed to highlighting the voices and stories of people who might not be shown in traditional advertising or illustrations. With strong and vibrant work that brings new perspectives to the table, Sophie proves that representation matters.
By truly understanding each client’s brand, target audience, and goals, Sophie does work that stands out. They also believe in creating a better world through kinder and more inclusive artistry.
Sophie is currently recovering from Endometriosis surgery. If you’d like to contribute to covering the related medical expenses, you may do so at this gofundme.
You can see more of Sophie’s work on their site and on Instagram @sophiemcteartattoo.
