Ready or Not, Here We Come!
As part of this month’s Hidden theme, we wanted to showcase some of the work done by this month’s speakers and other members of the CreativeMornings community. These artists highlight marginalized groups and overlooked details, reminding us to take a breath and maybe take a second to take in the world around us.
Celebrated underwater photographer Eric Cheng scours the sea to discover hidden worlds and creatures in the deep. At our Los Angeles chapter, he speaks on how technology has aided and impaired his discoveries.
Speaking at our Bogotá chapter this month, Karim Estefan is a local artist who photographs himself hidden beind things as a way of creating metaphors that share secrets.
In Chicago, Matthew Hoffman will be taking the stage. He’s the one behind the You Are Beautiful project, a little sticker that started a worldwide phenomenon promoting positivity and inner beauty.
Dustin Yellin is best known for his sculptural paintings—works that emerge as intricate, three-dimensional objects after the successive layering of multiple panes of highly detailed (ink, acrylic, and collage) glass. He speaks in Brooklyn, New York.
The organizer of our Barcelona chapter, Vasco Mourao (aka Mister Mourao), does these beautiful, intricate drawings of bridges, buildings, and other forms of architecture.
In Capetown, street artist Faith47 and designer Lyall Sprong, aka Thingking, are collaborating on an urban design initiative called #ANOTHERLIGHTUP. Perfect for our themed month, #ANOTHERLIGHTUP is hidden until it is illuminated.
