New organizers in Denver, Riyadh, Medellin, and Sao Paulo

CreativeMornings is reaching new creative communities around the world!

We’re so excited to introduce you to the new organizers for chapters in Denver, Riyadh, Medellín, and São Paulo.

Our free monthly events in over 194 cities would not be possible without the engine of generosity and the 1,500 volunteers around the world.

Meet David Momper, CreativeMornings/Denver

What’s your vision for CreativeMornings/Denver?

CreativeMornings/Denver at large is a really special group of people. It’s become a creative force! I feel fortunate to be amidst that force. My ultimate vision is to provide the Denver community with wisdom and inspiration at every event, so that they then unleash their creativity on the world. I want to fuel the fire that resides in the belly of all of Denver’s creative minds, and we get to do that by producing awesome events and showcasing thought-provoking speakers.

The amazing thing that is afforded now, as a result of the last five years, is the opportunity to reach out and impact other communities around us and the city as a whole. I think that is what most excites us. The first stage of our chapter growth was to build a tribe, of sorts. In hindsight, that was our sole focus and we are really in awe of the way people have come together every month, and the speakers that have shared their stories from the stage. That will continue to be a major focus of ours. But again, the beautiful thing is now we have an abundance of community members, some 5,000, and if you consider all of their talents, gifts, and passion…I’m just excited at the potential of how we can inspire Denver.

I’m lucky in that I’m surrounded by an army of creative hearts and minds. Our core organizing team, being all volunteers, continues to impress me with their work ethic, their commitment and their passion for delivering unforgettable experiences. We seem to learn something from every event and there’s an inherent drive to sharpen our ways each time. Everyone on the team plays their heart out and so I just want to continue to empower them to do that, so we can continue to add value to our community as a chapter.

We now get to ask a new question, which is, how can we leverage and empower our existing community to extend and deepen our reach to provide creative wisdom and inspiration to the surrounding Denver community?

Describe the work you do and the impact you’re trying to make.

The work I do professionally, through my consulting firm Thrival Concepts, is focused on leadership and communication and helping teams and organizations to thrive by having truly impactful and authentic conversations.

My goal is to empower the modern leader, and I’ve built my forte around Listening Intelligence as it has so many correlations to product development, creativity, design thinking, leadership, sales, relationships, and business performance.

Meet Marcela Ponce de Leon, CreativeMornings/SãoPaulo

What’s your vision for CreativeMornings/São Paulo?

São Paulo is a huge and busy city. It’s not friendly or cozy. Is a hard time-money based city.

I have the feeling that through CreativeMornings events we can bring more color, joy, inspiration and good vibes for those we can touch.

Describe the work you do and the impact you’re trying to make.

I’ve changed since I started as a volunteer in June of 2016. Since then, a lot of things happened - for good - in my life. Personally and professionally.

If I can provide a light like that for other person’s path, even if it’s only a glance of change and opportunity to grow in one’s life, I’ll feel like I’m giving back to the community.

What’s something about you that we can’t find on Google?

I’m a life’s enthusiast, mother (of teens, gosh!), moved by music and have a personal podcast project (in Portuguese, sorry), called Baseado em Fatos Surreais (@bfsurreais) a storytelling program, were we share women experience, anonymously, using improvisation techniques and first-person narrative.

I believe that we can fight through love to make our community a better place. And I usually cry after CreativeMornings as it is such a powerful experience.

Describe the work you do and the impact you’re trying to make.

I’d love to make CreativeMornings a place where we could produce and create a positive atmosphere for the society in all ages and disciplines. A place that’s cozy and friendly where everyone is welcome to share give and believe.

A person who committed herself toward her goals, dreams, and community by majoring in Architecture, hosting CreativeMornings/Riyadh platform and generating a positive impact in her community in any way she can with having the willingness to work for the betterment of others, it’s one of the most joyful moments to her is when she give back to people. With the desire and determination in hand to succeed, she will take the first opportunity to build a thriving community in which all citizens can fulfill their dreams; hopes, and ambition.
