Meet Our Endurance Illustrator: Ana Kun
Each month, CreativeMornings has a different theme for the talks given at local chapter events around the world. It is our tradition to work with an artist in our community to create an illustration for each monthly theme.

CreativeMornings/Timișoara chose October’s exploration of Endurance and Ana Kun created the accompanying illustration.
We’re excited to share some of our favorite artworks created by Ana!
About Ana Kun
Ana Kun (b. 1981) is a visual artist based in Timișoara, Romania, 1/3 of Balamuc, ¼ of Zephyr, ½ of Luciana (with Lucian Barbu) and other duos.
Artist’s Statement: “My practice takes me to both art shows and civic discussions, I work with artists and curators but also with activists and educators. Lately I’m more interested in communal cooking as artistic practice, marginal histories and postcolonial legacy in Banat region. Although professionally trained in Graphics and Creative Writing, method and technique are secondary in developing my interests. I make a point of challenging and adapting myself to the needs of the project, where writing, drawing, publishing and others may concur to bring an issue into focus. It follows that collaborations are a great source of joy to both my practice, but also at a personal level. I am part of two artist-friend groups, Balamuc (with Livia Coloji and Răzvan Cornici, since 2013) and Zephyr (with Apolonija Šušteršič, Livia Coloji and Victor Dragoș, since 2019), both working collaboratively with other artists and professionals. As far as duos go, I’m collaborating intensely with Noemi Hügel, a dear friend and a wonderful cook, in projects relating to food politics, hidden labor and vegan comfort food.”
