May's theme is Freedom
Let freedom ring. We are excited to celebrate a month around the theme of “Freedom” brought to you by Shutterstock. The theme was chosen by our Budapest team, and we were thrilled to have Kesley Dake as the month’s illustrator.
CM’s Official Partner for Visual Inspiration, Shutterstock, provides images and video resources that save creative professionals time and empower them to do their best work. As a continued source of income for tens of thousands of photographers, illustrators, and videographers who contribute to the collection, Shutterstock empowers artists to pursue their dreams.
As a company that advocates for creative freedom, Shutterstock believes that great ideas come from free places, where people exercise their own voices and feel empowered to express themselves. Speakers this month will look at what freedom means in your creative practice and what part that plays in the rest of the world. A few of this month’s speakers include:
- Moby, singer-songwriter, musician, DJ and photographer (Los Angeles)
- Dhani Jones, former NFL player (Cincinnati)
- Amnesty International (Porto)
- Helena Price, photographer (San Francisco)
- Jan Sokol, Czech philosopher, former dissident, politician and translator (Prague)
In Shutterstock’s words: “The freedom to create art as expression is a right every person is entitled to. An open and free exchange of ideas is vital to a healthy creative community.”
As always, free tickets are available starting the Monday before the talk.
