CreativeMornings Receives Groundbreaking Gift From the Harnisch Foundation
As the world grapples with a growing need for connection, CreativeMornings, the world’s largest face-to-face creative community, is stepping up to meet the challenge. The organization has received a $1 million grant from the Harnisch Foundation—the first major institutional funding in its 16-year history—to amplify its mission of bringing people together through creativity and collaboration on a global scale. Founded in 2008 in New York City, CreativeMornings has grown into a global movement, gathering over 18,000 people every month in 244 cities across 70 countries for free monthly events, powered by 1,000 dedicated volunteers. The community brings together creative thinkers, designers, entrepreneurs, and artists to share ideas, foster friendships, and spark collaboration in safe, inclusive spaces.
“This grant comes at a pivotal moment as we confront an epidemic of loneliness and disconnection,” says Tina Roth Eisenberg, founder of CreativeMornings. “With the Harnisch Foundation’s support, we are expanding existing programs and launching Clubs—intimate, hyper-local, community-led gatherings around shared interests, where we can foster deeper, more meaningful relationships.”
Ruth Ann Harnisch, president of the Harnisch Foundation, is helping make Tina’s vision a reality. “CreativeMornings has an undeniable history of welcoming people who want to be with others. The new Clubs format means even deeper connections are possible, especially for those of us who aren’t morning people!“
With this funding, CreativeMornings is not just addressing the loneliness crisis—it is proactively shaping the solution. Collectively, we are ushering in a new era of connectedness and underscoring the role creative communities can play in addressing today’s challenges.
