Meet our CURATE illustrator: Fred Villa
Each month, CreativeMornings has a different theme for the talks given at our local chapter events around the world. It is our tradition to work with an artist in our community to create an illustration for each monthly theme.
Our theme for June is CURATE. It was chosen by our Orange County chapter in California, illustrated by Fred Villa, and is presented by Adobe.
Fred Villa is a multidisciplinary graphic designer with a focus on branding, digital, and print design. He loves combining design and content creation into one to engage with the creative community. Aside from designing, he loves to take inspiration from dance classes or live music!
Fred shared the following reflection on his illustration for this month’s theme:
“Curating to me means tastefully combine different artistic elements and blend them into one cohesive experience. I immediately thought of how a DJ can alter the mood of the night at a club or event with the music that they chose. They set the tone and pace for an event’s vibe and I think that’s one of the dopest ways to curate music as an art form.”
