Welcome Brian, Amrit and Katie to the CreativeMornings Team!
Our family is growing! CreativeMornings breakfasts are now in 115 cities across 47 countries, and just this week we uploaded our 2,000th video. The last 6.5 years have been solid proof that when you put trust in people, magic happens. Our army of hosts and their volunteer teams make us proud here at HQ every single day.
To keep up with our growing volunteer family and mission, we’ve doubled the CreativeMornings HQ team. This way we can expand our partnerships, editorial and social media initiatives. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been building!
Please raise your cup of coffee with me and welcome Brian, Amrit and Katie:
Brian Quinn joined our team as Director of Special Projects in March 2015. Previously, Brian was the Director of Programming for Social Media Week, a conference welcoming 10,000 attendees from the tech, media, and advertising communities each year. He started out his career in the music industry, with a BFA in Jazz Performance from The New School, and having played the drums across all genres for over 20 years. He also helped to produce hundreds of concerts globally during his tenure managing world-renowned jazz artists for 10 years.
Amrit Richmond joined our team as Editor in Chief in April 2015. She’s spent the past eight years exploring the future of technology across a wide range of industries, such as media at GOOD magazine, consulting with startups and advertising agencies, and venture capital at Collaborative Fund and RRE. Her past side projects include The Internet Wishlist and Nerd Valentine.
Katie Zanecchia joined our team as Social Media Manager in April 2015. She’s worked at the intersection of creativity, content, and community for her entire career, including managing all things digital in book publishing and leading communications efforts at a non-profit that helps teen girls in finding their voices through creative writing. In the hours outside 10-6 you can find her eye-to-viewfinder, spouting soap-box advocacy, or submitting to her wanderlust.
