We do our best to make sure we have great talks, inspiring spaces, and tasty coffee every month, but the best part of CreativeMornings is the people. So we’re showcasing a few of the faces of CMSF, and you could be next! First up, meet Sophia.
What’s your day job?
I do Product Design with a UX focus. I am currently collaborating with the team at Openfarm.cc, a wikipedia for growing edible plants. On week ends, I bake sourdough bread.
What’s your favorite breakfast food?
Mashed banana, cinnamon, peanut butter on tartines and green tea… :)
Where’s a place you’d stop on a free afternoon in SF?
Probably ride my bike up to the highest corner of Dolores Park and enjoy the view and the fog, if not the sun :-)

Noisebridge hackerspace has been persistently inspiring to me: How do you rethink an organization with no hierarchy and 100% based on individual initiatives? And even myself as a person, what drives me when there is no obligation?
“If you want something done, DO-IT but remember to be excellent to each other when doing so.” is their motto and Noisebridge is a playground of expression. On the top of that, it inspires giving back to the community as we receive a lot without even asking. And of course everything is open source and towards accessibility. Love the mindset there!
In the spirit of this month’s Magic theme, what do you find magical that others might not?
Bread! The way it is never made the same, between the leaven’s science and the art of shaping, the look of the crust and the crumb, the way it taste and smell, the way it nourrishes, the way it is not the same just out of the oven and after 3 days, the way it builds memories…
